With the new Society level change to include a set time limit for automatic authorisation expirations, we have modified all authorisation expiration dates in the database in batches. Please check your authorisations/CALON to see when your new expiration date has been set for. The earliest expirations will start in June of 2026.
As the new rule states for reauthorisation “You must demonstrate your competence in the practical components, and be re-tested for your theory knowledge at least every four years to maintain your authorisation.”, in most cases this reauth will be questions about the rules to determine if the combat participant is familiar with foundational and current rules. This can be done by any Warranted Marshal approved by the appropriate Deputy in charge of that discipline.
We will be working on various ways to make this re-test available, through scheduled group sessions at practises and events, appointments, possible online meetings, etc. We strive to provide as many options available to do re-testing to not only ensure all of out combat participants have ample opportunities, but also to help reduce the burden on our marshals.
In cases where a combat participant has not participated in activities in the traditional timeline set by that discipline, a full authorisation must still be done, including both theory and physical portions.
