To the beloved people of the Kingdom of Calontir,
It is with sincere regret that we announce that this weekend’s event, Clothiers, will not take place as planned due to the impending severe weather expected across the region. Clothiers is traditionally a time filled with learning, creativity, laughter, and the deep camaraderie that makes our Kingdom so special, and we know how much many of you were looking forward to gathering together.
This decision was not made lightly. We recognize the time, effort, and love poured into planning classes, preparing materials, and making travel arrangements. However, the safety of our friends and family must always come before any event. The potential risks posed by the weather hazardous travel conditions, extreme cold, and the possibility of emergencies make it clear that staying home is the wisest and kindest choice we can make for one another.
We strongly encourage everyone to prioritize their well-being this weekend. Please stay safe, stay warm, and avoid unnecessary travel. Check in on your household, your neighbors, and your local community, and do what you can to ensure that everyone has what they need to weather the storm comfortably. A message, a call, or a small act of care can make a great difference.
While we are disappointed not to share this time together, we take comfort in knowing that Calontir is built on mutual respect, responsibility, and care for one another. There will be other gatherings, other classes, and other joyful moments ahead times when we can once again come together without concern for safety.
