  • Populous review period for proposed Martiallate rules change

    Greetings from your Kingdom Earl Marshal! 
    I am submitting the following potential rule change for a 30 day populous feedback period: The change would involve removing the necessity for an out of group Marshal to be present for an authorisation. I have had it brought to enough times that I'm willing to hear everyone's voice on the matter. I'm not saying don't comment here (keep it civil!), but I would like people to email any feelings they have about this to earlmarshal@calontir.org

  • April “Getting Started in Calontir” virtual class!

    Greetings Calontir!

    I am excited to announce our class for April will be “A beginners' guide to the Calontir Song Book.” This class is near and dear to my heart. One of the things I love most about being a par t of our kingdom is our songs.
    This class, taught by Master Johann, will focus on introducing those new to our kingdom some of the songs they will often hear while we are camping, mustering, and the like. Please feel free to join us, whether you are a newcomer, or a Calontir veteran. All are welcome and appreciated.
    We will of course have time after the class to answer any questions that we can about the SCA and Kingdom of Calontir. Anything we are able to do to help build bridges for people just getting started in our game.

    Greetings Calontir!I'd like to announce the virtual newcomers' class for March is “Attending your first Arts and Sciences Event.” Mistress Vashti will discuss what an arts and sciences event is, what you can expect when attending one, and much much more. We will of course have time after the class to answer questions on the class or general questions about the SCA and Calontir.

    All are welcome to join. The more the merrier, no matter how long you've been in the SCA.

  • Letters of Intent for martial deputies

    Greetings unto the populous!
    I will be stepping up as the new Kingdom Earl Marshal, and, as is common practice I will be taking Letters of Intent for a multitude of Deputy positions within the office. If you currently hold one of the listed positions and wish to keep it, please put in a Letter for said position. This will help me know who is ready for replacement and who would like to continue to serve in their office. There are several Deputy positions available with varying levels of responsibility, so please feel free to put in letters if you are interested. Letters will be open from today until 26 February, at which point interviews will be conducted. Letters should be sent to earlmarshal@calontir.org
